About

We have become dangerously close to accepting the homeless population as a problem that doesn't have solutions. The homeless issues must be addressed because it goes beyond homelessness. Who are we as human beings if we ignore the sufferings of others? We must all work together to end Homelessness in Texas.

At REC, we know housing first is key to an individual's healing, transformation, restoration, and successful transition out of homelessness and on the path to success. Restoration Empowerment Center's vision is to restore hope to the homeless and hurting of Lubbock, Texas. We provide shelter and nourishing meals to women and children. But we don't believe that's enough.

Restoration Empowerment Center has a state-of-the-art facility for women and children that provides comprehensive recovery programs to help them rebuild stable, healthy, productive lives.

Women and Children who are without homes are not socially inadequate. They are people without homes.

Our Community

The women and children of Lubbock, Texas, are not faceless nor hopeless. They aren't dreamless, skill-less, or friendless.

Many factors may drive a woman and her children to the streets, including domestic violence, lack of affordable housing, job loss, unemployment, lack of social support network, mental illness, physical disability, or substance abuse.

Our Mission

Our mission is to build communities that strengthen women and support families as they reclaim their stability through a unique model of care called Whole Life®. REC prepares women and their families to become empowered and productive forces in their communities by embracing the whole person.

We serve a real chance to develop successful, productive lives to give the women and children. We believe services must address each person holistically. We use a model of care called WholeLife®, which distinguishes us from other programs and organizations with a similar focus. Rather than focusing on one isolated issue, such as homelessness, we address six different areas of wellness: emotional/mental, financial, physical, social, spiritual, and vocational.

We Need Your Support Today!
